To support the “2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities”, Sun Ferry Services Company Limited (“Sun Ferry”) will be offering free rides to the disabled passengers on the “Free Ride Day” to be held on 9 November 2025, to foster social integration and build a caring society. Passengers presenting the “Registration Card for People with Disabilities” issued by the Hong Kong Labour and Welfare Bureau can enjoy free rides with one companion on Sun Ferry’s following ferry routes:
- Central – Cheung Chau (Applicable only to the ordinary class on ordinary ferries)
- Central – Mui Wo (Applicable only to ordinary ferry sailings)
- Inter Islands (Peng Chau – Mui Wo – Chi Ma Wan – Cheung Chau)
- North Point – Hung Hom
- North Point – Kowloon City
Sun Ferry has been striving to enhance the barrier-free facilities onboard over the years. To facilitate the disabled passengers, designated wheelchair spaces are available on different types of vessels allowing wheelchair users to travel freely. Accessible toilets have also been installed on our triple-deck ordinary ferries providing special care and assistance for people with disabilities.
