Attention please. On 8 May 2022 (Sunday), Sun Ferry will implement the normal holiday arrangements in accordance with the adjustments made by the Hong Kong Cheung Chau Bun Festival Committee to the celebratory activities (including the cancellation of Floating Colours held during the Grand Parade, no auditorium seating for guests and the cancellation of Bun-scrambling Competition held at the midnight of 9 May etc.) as follows:

Pier Operation:

  1. “Special Passage” will not be set up at Central Pier No.5 and Cheung Chau Pier (N.B. the passage specially set up for the Holders of “Sun Ferry Cheung Chau Bun Festival Special Passage Boarding Ticket” and the related working parties in the past years)
  2. “Monthly Ticket and Multi-ride Ticket Passage” will maintain open to holders of valid Monthly Ticket or Multi-ride Ticket according to the Sundays & Public Holidays’ arrangement

Sailing Schedule and Freight Service:

  1. Sailings will be departed based on the Sundays & Public Holidays’ ferry service timetable while additional sailings may be provided per the onsite situation
  2. The additional ordinary-ferry sailing previously provided for the purpose of discharging the crowd that departing from Cheung Chau at 1:15am on the day after the Buddha’s Birthday will be cancelled
  3. Freight service will be maintained on ordinary-ferry sailings (subject to the onsite situation, if the freight demand on individual sailing is high, Sun Ferry will request the concerned freight carriers to wait for the next ordinary-ferry sailing)

A friendly reminder. According to the latest “Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing of Mask) Regulation, passengers must wear masks at piers and throughout the journey. Taking masks off for eating and drinking is subject to a penalty. Please give your full cooperation.
