Student between the ages of 12 and 25 who is currently enrolled in a full-time day course offered by an acceptable institution#in Hong Kong.
#“Acceptable institution” refers to :
- Schools referred to in Section 2 of the Education Ordinance (Cap279);
- Registered schools that fall under Section 3 of the Education Ordinance (Cap279);
- Schools exempted from the Education Ordinance (Cap279) under sections 9(1)(a) and (b);
- The word "school" is defined in Section 3 of the Education Ordinance (Cap279);
- Other schools as occasionally approved by our company;
- Private schools offering non-formal curriculum registered under the Education Ordinance (Cap279) are not included.
Route Fare Details Central – Cheung Chau HKD$391 Student Monthly Ticket entitles ticket holder to make one round-trip of ordinary class of ordinary ferry for specified route, which must be completed on the same day. Ticket holder can upgrade to deluxe class of ordinary ferry or fast ferry at the rates on the departure date. Central – Mui Wo HKD$407.1
“Online Application of Student Monthly Ticket” is open for application all year round and it takes around one month for processing before issuance. If the application is submitted successfully within the first ten days of the month with complete and accurate information, Sun Ferry will normally issue the email of “Successful Application” to the applicant on or before the last working day of the month (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) to allow the applicant to make a purchase of the following month’s Student Monthly Ticket. If the application is submitted after the first ten days of the month, Sun Ferry cannot guarantee the email of “Successful Application” could be delivered by the last working day of the month (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) for applicant to catch the selling period of purchasing the following month’s Student Monthly Ticket. The selling period of the Student Monthly Ticket (“Student Monthly Ticket”) is based on the validity month, that is between last six days of previous month and the first four days of valid month. Student who completed the application and received the email of “Successful Application” (email) can make the purchase of Student Monthly Ticket at Customer and Octopus Service Centres at the Central Pier No.5, Central Pier No.6, Cheung Chau Pier or Mui Wo Pier (“selling points”) by using the registered Octopus.
