Land Education Foundation's Community Support Agriculture Joint Purchase Scheme strives to promote community support agriculture (CSA). The program period will be started in Summer and Winter. Four local farmers will provide the seasonal veggies to the community. To support the farmers, we will engage the Lantau residents to join this CSA scheme to share the harvest, and bear the risk with the local farmer as a united front.
In the program, we consider the role of the participants is not just as customers but members of the agricultural community. Besides receiving weekly veggies bags from local farmers, the participants will learn more about farmers and the farmlands, understand the value of local production and support farmers through this program.
