With effect from 10:00 am on 21 December 2023 (Thursday), three types of electronic payment including AlipayHK "EasyGo", Alipay "Transport QR Code" and UnionPay "Transit QR Code" will be officially launched and accepted on ferry routes plying between North Point and Hung Hom, North Point and Kowloon City. The details are as follows.
Important notes:
- Payment by AlipayHK "EasyGo", Alipay "Transport QR Code" or UnionPay "Transit QR Code" is only applicable for paying one-way ferry fare based on their ticket types (refer to Note 1); they cannot be used to pay the fare of Sun Ferry Monthly Ticket.
- Sun Ferry’s ferry ticket is non-refundable.
- Sun Ferry reserves the right to require passenger paying child fare or senior fare to produce his/her documentary proof (e.g. student card, identity card, travel document) for validation or inspection when passing through the turnstiles, or whenever so requested by our staff. Failure to produce the proof shall result in the passenger being liable for repurchasing a ticket, and the purchased child ticket/senior ticket will become invalid.
- Government Public Transport Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Eligible Persons with Disabilities and Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme are currently not yet applicable to electronic payments.

To save queuing time, passengers are advised to open the mobile payment tool for payment in advance, select the appropriate payment option and ticket type for using public transportation in Hong Kong and choose the suitable ticket type based on their age.
